The Africa Green Banking Index (AGBI) and the Africa Green Asset Management Index (AGAMI) (together, the “indexes”) are independently developed and managed by Terranova Ventures for informational, analytical, and benchmarking purposes only.

The indexes are not credit ratings, investment ratings, regulatory assessments, supervisory tools, or investment recommendations. They do not constitute financial, investment, legal, regulatory, or professional advice and should not be relied upon as such.

Terranova Ventures does not provide any assurance regarding the future performance, financial soundness, regulatory compliance, or investment merit of any institution assessed or referenced within the indexes.

AGBI and AGAMI are non-regulatory, market-facing benchmarks. They are not produced on behalf of, nor endorsed by, any regulatory authority, supervisory body, or governmental institution unless explicitly stated.

Inclusion in, exclusion from, or positioning within the indexes does not imply:

  • Compliance or non-compliance with applicable laws or regulations;
  • Approval, authorisation, or endorsement by regulators or policymakers;

All information, scores, rankings, narratives, and analyses published in connection with the indexes are provided “as is”, based on data reasonably available at the time of assessment.

  • Reserves the right to amend, update, correct, or withdraw content without prior notice.

Users of the indexes assume full responsibility for any decisions or actions taken based on the information provided.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Terranova Ventures, its partners, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, advisers, and collaborators shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise), arising from:

  • Use of, or reliance on, the indexes or related publications;
  • Interpretation or misinterpretation of index outputs;
  • Decisions made by third parties based on index-related information.

All content associated with AGBI and AGAMI, including but not limited to:

  • Index names and branding;
  • Methodological frameworks;
  • Assessment structures;
  • Scoring logic, models, and outputs;
  • Reports, publications, and visual materials,

are the intellectual property of Terranova Ventures, unless otherwise stated. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, reverse engineering, or commercial exploitation of any part of the indexes is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

Limited use of index references for non-commercial, academic, research, or media purposes is permitted, provided that:

  • Proper attribution is given to Terranova Ventures;
  • Content is not altered in a misleading manner;
  • Use does not imply endorsement or partnership without written approval.

Any commercial use, redistribution, licensing, or incorporation into products or services requires explicit written authorisation from Terranova Ventures.

Terranova Ventures maintains internal policies and governance structures designed to manage conflicts of interest and protect the independence and integrity of the indexes.

Participation by any institution in advisory discussions, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement activities does not influence assessment outcomes or index positioning.

These Terms and all matters relating to the indexes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without prejudice to applicable international intellectual property protections.

Terranova Ventures reserves the right to revise or update this Disclaimer and Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the website or the indexes constitutes acceptance of any such updates.
